Jacob Nelson

Bio

Jacob Nelson is a Mechanical Engineer from Michigan State University. He has been at General Motors since July 2021. During his time at General Motors, he was a release engineer for Exterior Lighting, Service Design Engineer for Battery Electric Truck Drive Units, and his current role of EV Warranty Specialist. Prior to General Motors, Jacob held internships within the automotive industry at Michelin Tire and LumaSmart Technology. Apart from his career at General Motors, Jacob is pursuing a Masters of Science in Management degree from Walsh College as well as training for the Detroit Marathon in October 2025.
