Since joining LaFontaine Automotive Group in 2018, Max Muncey has played a key role in the company’s remarkable growth—expanding from 17 dealerships to 43 retail locations and eight collision centers, positioning LaFontaine as one of the Top 25 dealer groups in the United States.

As Corporate Director, Max oversees all aspects of corporate communications while working directly with CEO Ryan LaFontaine to shape the Group’s acquisition strategy, automaker relationships, and long-term growth vision. He leads strategic communications initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment between internal teams, customers, industry partners, and the communities LaFontaine proudly serves.

A veteran of the automotive industry, Max previously directed public relations for the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) and the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA), where he managed global media relations, executive communications, and strategic storytelling for two of the industry’s most influential organizations. His career reflects a lifelong passion for the automotive world, with deep roots in both retail and industry leadership.

He is highly regarded for driving results for brand recognition and customer experience—anchored by his core belief that “we don’t build businesses, we build people—and the people make the business.”

Beyond his corporate role, Max serves as LaFontaine’s resident Cars & Coffee champion, often found connecting with enthusiasts at local gatherings alongside his two daughters.
