Meet 4 Trailblazers Confirmed To Speak

The countdown to the 2025 Vehicle Service & Warranty Lifecycle Summit is underway — and we’re proud to introduce the next three speakers who will be taking the stage this October. Each brings decades of experience and a proven track record of driving innovation across aftersales, warranty, and customer service operations.

Renee Stevens, Director Data Analytics & Field Services – Workhorse

Renee Stephens has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to data analytics and quality management in the automotive industry. Renee is currently serving as the Director of Data Analytics and Field Services at Workhorse Group Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Competitive Quality/Mobility at We Predict Inc. where they played a crucial role in product development, marketing strategy, client engagement, and implementation. Renee also worked as the Vice President of US Automotive Quality at J.D. Power, where they led the practice of Automotive Quality and launched innovative technology platforms. Renee has also held various managerial positions at General Motors, including Director of GM International Operations – Quality Data Management and Director of Global Quality Analysis. Throughout their career, Renee has demonstrated expertise in leveraging data analytics to improve quality, customer experience, and mitigate risks in the automotive industry.

Renee Stephens holds an MBA from Wayne State University, which they obtained between 1987 and 1989, with a concentration in Market Research. Prior to their MBA, they completed their Bachelor of Science in General Management at Wayne State University from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, they have obtained certification as a Certified Quality Control Engineer from the American Society of Quality in 1989.

Paul Rogers, Director Warranty & Compliance – Nissan 

Since July, Paul Rogers has stepped into the role of Director, Warranty & Compliance following a year as Technical Assistant to the Nissan Americas Chairperson. Prior to the Chairperson Assistant role, he was Senior Manager, Warranty at Nissan Motor Corporation. His Nissan Warranty journey began nearly 20 years ago in the Warranty Call Center, where he advanced through several roles before transitioning to the field.

In the Northeast Region, Paul held multiple leadership positions—including Fixed Operations Manager, Aftersales Development Manager, and Service Development Manager—before serving as Senior Manager, Regional Aftersales from 2018 to 2020. 

                                                                                                                                  Josh Cohen, Manager Global Warranty Strategy & Operations, General Motors

Josh currently serves as Manager of Global Warranty Strategy & Operations at General Motors, a role he assumed in July 2024. He leads global initiatives across warranty strategy and policy, claims payments, data-driven quality improvements, IT systems implementation, and courtesy transportation programs.

Prior to this, Josh spent seven years as Manager of Operational Excellence, where he spearheaded complex problem-solving and organizational change. He led cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements, reduce waste, and foster a data-driven culture. His collaborative approach positioned him as a key partner to departments including Finance, Legal, Communications, Real Estate, and Marketing—offering a holistic view of the business.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Penn State University.

Angela Johnson, Supplier Relations Analytics Principal – Plante Moran

A 30-year veteran of automotive and aerospace, Angela Johnson recently completed a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at Wayne State University, writing her dissertation on relationships within supply chains. Her research reveals how trade-offs in corporate decisions and strategy execution influence OEM-Supplier relations and demonstrates the moderating power of cultural alignment, strategic need, and peer connections to drive performance by amplifying or offsetting these effects. In the last 15 years at General Motors, she built and led data analytics teams to deliver cutting-edge strategies for operational efficiency and supply chain resiliency amongst unprecedented global disruption.  With a passion for building bridges that connect people, data, and insights, Angela has led her team to build a cohesive, integrated approach to deliver organizational efficiency and business intelligence through data governance, operational insight, and cutting-edge AI/ML solutions. Prior to her PhD, Angela earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Project Manager Professional certification from Project Management Institute.
